Anne Sulling
Anne Sulling (born October 12, 1976 in Tartu , Estonian SSR ) is an Estonian politician . She has been a member of the liberal reform party since 2014 . From March 2014 to April 2015, Sulling was Minister for Foreign Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Estonia.
Life
Anne Sulling was born as the daughter of the Estonian heart surgeon Toomas Sulling (* 1940). She attended the renowned Inglise Kolledž in the Estonian capital Tallinn and graduated from high school in Upland, California .
She then studied economics and French studies at Smith College in Northampton ( Massachusetts ). She received her master's degree in international economics and finance from the University of Paris-Dauphine . She also attended courses at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris .
economy
Anne Sulling initially worked for the Estonian Central Bank. From 2000 to 2005 she worked as an analyst and project manager at Hansapank . In 2005/2006 she headed the project group for the transition from the Estonian kroon to the euro in the Estonian Ministry of Finance .
From 2006 to 2008 Sulling was a manager at Swedbank in Estonia. She then worked for a short term at a renewable energy company.
politics
In 2009, Sulling moved to the Estonian State Chancellery. From 2009 to 2014, she was an advisor to Prime Minister Andrus Ansip for macro-financial and currency issues as well as for emissions trading .
From March 26, 2014 to April 9, 2015, she was Minister for Foreign Trade and Entrepreneurship in the social-liberal coalition government under Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas . Anne Sulling was attached to the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure. After leaving the cabinet, she went to the Estonian Parliament ( Riigikogu ) as a member .
