Ann Savo (born August 6, 1932 in Pyhäjoki ; born Anneli Helena Savolainen ) is a Finnish actress .

Life

Savo, daughter of Tapio and Salli Savolainen, received a ballet and acting education and got her first role at the theater of Kemi at the age of seventeen . At the age of 20 she was discovered for the film by director Armand Lohikoski, where she soon became known under the name Anneli Sauli . From 1956 to 1962 she was married to the actor and director Åke Lindman.

As the Ukrainian soldier's widow Ljuba in the war film Unruhige Nacht , she first acted in a German film in 1958, where she was given the stage name Ann Savo . The black-haired beauty always appeared as a femme fatale in several German films until 1964 . From 1960 to 1964 she also lived in Germany and was in a relationship with Alexander von Richthofen for three years and Toni Sailer for one year .

In 1965 she returned to Finland, where she married Jaakko Pakkasvirta that same year and became the mother of her daughter Johanna Lahtela. The marriage with Pakkasvirta was divorced again in 1968. In Finland she played mostly theater, especially at the Joensuu Municipal Theater .
