Annemarie Gethmann-Siefert

Annemarie Gethmann-Siefert (born April 2, 1945 in Bochum-Linden ) is a German philosopher. She is professor of philosophy at the University of Hagen .

Career and focus of work

Gethmann-Siefert studied philosophy, art history and theology at the Universities of Münster, Bonn, Innsbruck and Bochum. Your doctorate as Dr. phil. took place in 1973 with a thesis on Heidegger and her habilitation in 1982 with a thesis on Hegel's aesthetics at the Ruhr University in Bochum . Since 1991 she has been professor of philosophy at the University of Hagen. She is married to Carl Friedrich Gethmann .
