Annette Meyhöfer
Annette Meyhöfer (* 1959 in Neunkirchen, Saar ; † December 9, 2012 in Berlin ) was a German journalist , literary critic and author .
Life
The qualified literary scholar worked as a journalist and columnist for Der Spiegel , among others , was editor of the week and wrote as an author for, among others, Die Zeit , Stern , Focus and Cicero . On May 28, 1992, she took part as a guest critic in the 19th episode of the Literary Quartet in Bonn .
In addition to her journalistic portraits and reports, Meyhöfer also published books. For three years she worked on a major Freud biography, which was published in 2006 under the title “A Science of Dreaming”. The work received little response, which struck Meyhöfer deeply and discouraged him.
In 2010 she moved from Hamburg to Berlin. There she died in her apartment in early December 2012 at the age of 53.
