Anselm Lauber

Anselm U. Lauber (born April 1, 1920 in Lucerne ; † January 29, 1995 in Dübendorf ) was a Swiss electrical engineer who did pioneering work in the field of acoustics and noise abatement .

From 1948 to 1960 Lauber worked in the research and testing institute of the PTT General Directorate in Bern in electroacoustics , where he dealt with room and building acoustics and noise abatement. On behalf of the Swiss Federal Council , he built up the acoustics and noise abatement department at the Federal Materials Testing and Research Institute in Dübendorf from 1960 . From 1963 to 1985 he was a lecturer for acoustics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich . In 1972 he was awarded the title of adjunct professor . He was co-author of a standard work on building and room acoustics.
