Ansgar Franz

Ansgar Franz (born February 26, 1959 in Bingen ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian and professor of liturgical science .

Life

He completed his studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the Pontificia Universitas Gregoriana in Rome in 1984 with a state examination in history, Italian studies and theology in Mainz and in 1991 with a doctorate in Catholic theology. After habilitation in 1998 in liturgy and homiletics he has taught since March 2005 as Professor of Liturgics and homiletics at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
