Ansgar Hocke (born October 4, 1955 in Berlin ) is a German journalist and communication trainer. He is an editor and reporter for the television, radio and online editorial teams at Rundfunk Berlin Brandenburg .

Career

Hocke's parents are also from Berlin. He grew up in Berlin-Kreuzberg with two brothers and a sister . Until his Abitur in 1975 he attended the Paulsen-Gymnasium in Berlin-Steglitz . He then studied urban and regional planning at the Technical University of Berlin and sociology and communication sciences at the Free University . With other students, he developed the Berlin model of a practice-oriented course for journalists. While at school, Hocke was co-editor of the school magazine Notes . Later he was editor and author at Dialogikus , the first ecumenical magazine in West Berlin . During his studies in 1976 he worked for the Wiesbadener Kurier . In 1978 he wrote for the Berliner Morgenpost under Erich Richter for the magazine Blickpunkt, published by the Landesjugendring Berlin , and was later a member of the editorial team. With the editor -in- chief Klaus-Peter Wolf , "Blickpunkt" developed into a modern youth monthly magazine.

Since 1978 Hocke worked for the broadcaster Free Berlin (SFB), first as a freelancer, then later on a permanent basis. His activities ranged from features to live reports, whether radio or TV. Among other things, he was a long-time author and reporter for the radio show SFBeat and since the SFB Radiofrühling reporter in the morning magazine Ü1 - Please come . He later hosted the morning program Echo . He was the author and director for the magazine Parabel for the television program of the SFB .

Twice, the first time in 1986, the broadcaster sent him to Bonn to report from the studio there on events in federal politics and to comment on them.

In 1988 he received the ARD's Kurt Magnus Prize and received a scholarship from the John Mc Cloy Foundation .

The ARD editors-in-chief elected Ansgar Hocke in 1988 as ARD radio correspondent in East Berlin . For the public radio stations, Hocke reports on the " pre-reunification period " as well as on the fall of the Wall and the first GDR government formation after the first free Volkskammer elections. When the ARD studio in East Berlin was closed after the German reunification, Hocke went back to the broadcaster Free Berlin , which sent him again to the "still government city" of Bonn . When the government and parliament moved to Berlin, Hocke also returned, now to the capital of Germany. Since then he has worked as a reporter for the evening show of the broadcaster Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb) for state politics, before moving to the Berlin studio of the Tagesschau .
