Ansgar Skriver

Ansgar Skriver (born June 4, 1934 in Ockholm ; † December 23, 1997 ) was a German journalist .

Life

Ansgar Skriver was born as the eldest of three children of theologian Carl Anders Skriver (1903–1983) and his wife Hildgard, née. von Brockdorff (1903–1982) born. His father was a pastor in Ockholm from 1933 to 1952 and one of the pioneers of the vegan movement in Germany.

After an apprenticeship as a bookseller, Skriver studied economics and sociology in Tübingen and at the Free University of Berlin . From 1953 to 1956 he was a member of the National Board of Young Press. In 1956 he founded Ansgar-Skriver-Verlag in Berlin, in which he published the magazine Lyrische Blätter , which Hildegard Brenner then took over in 1963 . In 1963 Skriver received the Theodor Wolff Prize for an article in the weekly newspaper Die Zeit .

From 1963 to 1966 Skriver was an editor at Kreuz-Verlag Stuttgart. Since 1966 he was an editor at Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) , u. a. as editor of the series “Politisches Feature”. From 1981 to 1985 he was radio correspondent for the WDR and NDR in New York for the UNO .

Ansgar Skriver was a long-time member of the board of trustees of Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste .
