Fjelstrup Sogn is a Danish parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in North Schleswig . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Sønder Tyrstrup Herred in what was then Haderslev Amt , then to Christiansfeld Kommune in what was then Sønderjyllands Amt . In the course of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 , the parish was assigned to the "new" Haderslev municipality , which belongs to the Syddanmark region.
Neighboring municipalities are Vonsbæk in the south, Åstrup in the south-west, Bjerning in the west and the parishes of Tyrstrup and Aller in the north in the area of the Kolding municipality . In the east the municipality is bounded by the Little Belt . An uninhabited part of the parish of Aller lies on the territory of the municipality.
On January 1, 2020, the community had 1151 inhabitants, 565 of whom lived in the church village.
