Anthony "Tony" F. Guedes (born March 21, 1952 in Washington, DC ) is an American advertising film producer and entrepreneur. In 1988 he founded the Film Factory Werbe- und Industriefilmproduktion Ges.mbH , today one of the leading companies in this field in Austria.

Life

Tiger movie

After dropping out of business studies, Guedes founded Tiger-Film in 1975 , a feature film distribution company in Austria. Films bought on the open market became successful through the increased use of new creative marketing ideas. With the first radio advertisement for a feature film in Austria, Guedes achieved a great audience success for the film The 21 Hours of Munich .

In 1978 Guedes and Tiger-Film became the official representation of the United Artists in Austria and thus became the largest film distributor in the country. After a few successful years, the contractual relationship was terminated by United Artists . Guedes then acted as an independent rental company, but was unable to assert itself on the market.

His company Film Factory produced commercials for almost numerous companies in Austria that advertise on television. The XXXLutz Group has been one of his long-standing customers for over 15 years , for which he produced around 170 commercials. In February 2015, Guedes told ExtraDienst magazine ( Christian W. Mucha ) that he intended to hand over the company to long-term partner Thomas Andreasch.
