Antimima is a plant kind from the family of aizoaceae (Aizoaceae). The botanical name is derived from the Greek word "antimimos" for imitate and was given because the first known species of this genuslookedvery similar to the species of the genus Argyroderma .

They are succulent plants. The radial symmetry flowers are mostly hermaphroditic. The flowers contain many stamens . Some of the stamens have been transformed into coronet-like display organs, giving the impression that the flowers have many petals .
Systematics and distribution
Most species of the genus Antimima occur in the winter rain areas along the southwest coast of Africa . This distribution area extends from Aus in the south of Namibia to the South African province of Eastern Cape . Few species are common in the Karoo .
The genus was established in 1930 by Nicholas Edward Brown . In recent years, some species from the genus Ruschia have been recombined to Antimima . The genus includes the following species:
