Antoine Beuger
Antoine Beuger (born July 3, 1955 in Oosterhout , Netherlands ) is a Dutch composer , flautist and music publisher .
Life
From 1973 to 1978 Beuger studied composition with Ton de Leeuw and flute with Koos Verheul at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam . Then he worked as a lecturer at a theater school. In 1984 he became a broker for an American investment bank.
He has been working as a freelance composer since 1990 and in 1992, together with Burkard Schlothauer, founded the music publisher Edition Wandelweiser , of which he is the managing director. Since 1994 he has been the artistic director of the Klangraum concert series of the Kunstraum Düsseldorf . In 1995 he opened the Werkraum Ürdinger Strasse 11 in Cologne. Since 1996 he has been a lecturer in philosophy at the Düsseldorf Art Academy .
His works have been performed by numerous radio stations and at the Donaueschinger Musiktage . Beuger lives in Haan near Düsseldorf.
