Anton oil tent
Anton Ölzelt , also Anton Ölzelt the Elder , (born June 7, 1817 in Inzersdorf , † October 12, 1875 in Mauer near Vienna ) was an Austrian builder.
Ölzelt was a master builder in the South Moravian city of Znojmo from 1844 . In 1846 he returned to Vienna as a city architect, where he received citizenship . In 1850 he was appointed imperial court architect and in 1867 he was ennobled to Knight of Nevin .
1875 was oil Zeltgasse the 3rd Vienna district highway named after him.
In 1885 the Ölzeltgasse in the then still independent municipality of Mauer bei Wien (now Vienna 23rd) was named after him. Ölzelt lived in Mauer since about 1860 and participated there u. a. on building a water pipe and other facilities, for example he donated a poor house. 1864-71 he worked as chairman of the committee for the beautification of the place. The family crypt is located in the Maurer Friedhof. The oil tent park in Mauer is located on its former family seat.
His son of the same name, a professor of philosophy, was the sixth symphony by Bruckner dedicated.
