The Ölzeltpark is a 10,000 m² park in Mauer . It is located between Ölzeltgasse, Dr.-Barilits-Gasse, Maurer Hauptplatz and Geßlgasse. In addition to meadows and a very dense and old tree population, it has a fenced-in playground for toddlers, children and young people , a sand playground, a dog area and a drinking fountain . It surrounds the former oil tent villa, which later became Park Café Mauer, today's Gösser- Schlössl.

The oil was tent Park after kk court and Stadtbaumeister Anton Ölzelt named Ritter von Newin (1817-1875). On February 19, 1859, he and his wife bought house No. 183 at Kirchengasse 4, which is now called Geßlgasse. In the fall of 1859 he acquired the adjacent land that today forms the oil tent park. He died on October 12, 1875 and bequeathed the property to his three sons. The oldest, Anton Ritter Ölzelt, rebuilt the main building - the Ölzelt-Villa, today's Gösser Schlössl - in the style of the Italian Renaissance . The Palazzo Strozzi in Florence served as a model . The plan for this comes from the architect Josef von Wieser . On December 11, 1911, Anton Ritter Ölzelt sold the entire property to the community of Mauer. The building was the new City Hall will be and the place to which today houses the Ölzelt Park, the construction of a new nation - and Bürgerschule serve. The plans failed in the First World War .
