Anton lead number

Anton Bleiziffer (born June 20, 1950 in Arad , People's Republic of Romania ) is a German ethnomusicologist, musician and sound archivist. The Banat Swabian has also written and published books and essays on Banat culture and its preservation in the “home of arrival Germany”.

Life

Lead number grew up in the Romanian Sântana , ( German  Sanktanna ). He attended the general school in Sanktanna from 1957 to 1965, the German grammar school in Neu-Arad from 1965 to 1966 and the grammar school in Sanktanna from 1966 to 1969. After graduating from high school in 1969, he studied topography in Oradea ( German  Großwardein ) until 1970 and then attended the music faculty at the University of Timișoara ( German  Timişoara ), where he graduated as a music teacher in 1974. In addition to various positions as a teacher in Arbore, Apateu and Saderlach, he was a people's correspondent for the daily newspaper Neuer Weg in Bucharest and performed his own compositions in radio and television programs in Timișoara and Bucharest. He was a founding member of the Banat Student Quintet, where he worked successfully as a manager, soloist, composer and lyricist. In 1980 he founded the folklore ensemble Vereinigte Kumluscher und Sanktannaer Kulturgruppe (VKSK).

In 1981 he emigrated to Germany and became involved as a consultant for ethnic German repatriates in the Freiburg im Breisgau area . In addition to his work as a private teacher for accordion, recorder and piano, he worked as a secondary school teacher in Betzdorf (Rhineland-Palatinate).

From 1985 to 2012 he worked as a sound archivist in the German Folk Song Archive in Freiburg and became a member of the Baden-Württemberg State Music Council . Since 1990 he has been the head of the Freiburg Singing Circle as well as a board member and cultural advisor of the Heimatortsgemeinschaft (HOG) Sanktanna.

Anton Bleiziffer is married and has two sons.

Anton Bleiziffer is the editor of publications dealing with the cultural heritage of Germans in Sanktanna and the Banat. With the Freiburger Singkreis he recorded the double CD Wie's daheim war - Heimatklänge from Sanktanna and provided it with a detailed booklet (1999). Further CDs are: Serenade for Sanktanna (1992); Let your star rise radiantly - Festschrift for the 150th anniversary of Nikolaus Lenau's death with CD (2000); Freiburg sounds so beautiful - with historical songs about Freiburg (2005); An acoustic portrait of the German Folk Song Archive Freiburg (2006); A summer dream with brass music - cultural decade in Sanktanna (3 DVD's, 2008); Banat Voices - Acoustic Symbiosis (CD 2012). For the guide about the churches in Sanktanna he contributed a compilation of songs “Hymns from Sanktanna” (2015); "Banat dialect - Struwwelpeter in nine dialects from the Banat" (CD 2016).

He published the book "With body and soul - Cooking and baking as in Sanktanna". He also wrote a portrait in German and Romanian (Ed .: Michael Szellner) about the conductor Lambert Steiner.

Lectures, essays and radio reports on the culture of the Germans in the Banat emerged. Bleiziffer wants to cultivate the culture of the home country with the Banat people who have emigrated from Romania and integrate this into the home of arrival. The series of events Antoni meeting that since 1987 on the third week of January in honor of Saint Anthony takes place in Freiburg, serves the common culture maintenance.
