Anton Coppola
Anton Coppola (born March 21, 1917 in New York City ; † March 9, 2020 there ) was an American musician and composer .
life and career
Anton Coppola belonged to the actor dynasty of the Coppolas ; he was the brother of Carmine Coppola , who in turn is the father of Francis Ford Coppola .
He was a conductor on Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) and made a brief guest appearance in The Godfather - Part III . In it he can be seen as a conductor in a film scene called " Cavalleria Rusticana " because this opera is being performed there.
Since 1950 he was married to the former ballet dancer and teacher Almerinda Drago. He has a daughter from his first marriage and a son and a daughter from his second marriage.
Awards
In 1963 he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Composer and Musical -Director for the Broadway -Stück Bravo Giovanni nominated.
