Anton Engelhard
Anton Engelhard (born September 8, 1872 in Frankfurt am Main , † December 9, 1936 in Karlsruhe ) was a German landscape and animal painter .
Engelhard studied from 1886 to 1888 at the Städelsche Kunstinstitut in Frankfurt with Johann Heinrich Hasselhorst , then at the Grand Ducal Badische Kunstschule Karlsruhe with Ernst Schurth , Hermann Baisch , Heinrich von Zügel and Leopold von Kalckreuth .
Engelhard worked in Munich from 1896 and in Karlsruhe from 1901. He presented his works a. a. in the Munich Glass Palace . From 1911 to 1936 he was artistic director of the Badischer Kunstverein in Karlsruhe.
