Anton Herzinger
Joseph Anton Herzinger (born November 18, 1763 in Fallbach ; † December 12, 1826 in Vienna ) was an Austrian painter, etcher and engraver.
Anton Herzinger studied at the Vienna Art Academy . He married Maria Anna Mantler (1771-1816). In 1800 he was appointed to the newly founded Prague Academy of Arts as a scholarship holder . Here he was in charge of the graphics workshop until 1806 and was in charge of the printing press in the Clementinum . Around 1807 he stayed in Dresden , from 1809 he worked again in Vienna.
In addition to graphics to own templates he created engravings after designs by contemporary artists as well as the works of classical masters such as Peter Paul Rubens and Salomon van Ruysdael ..
