Anton Maier (politician, 1892)
Anton Maier (born June 6, 1892 in Radlkofen , † September 26, 1966 in Dingolfing ) was a German politician ( CSU ).
Maier studied Catholic theology in Regensburg and natural sciences and economics in Munich . He was a journalist for the Isar newspaper , publisher and printer owner in Dingolfing. He was secretary and general secretary of BVP in Weiden and Passau and head and owner of a company.
In 1945 Maier became chairman of the CSU local association Dingolfing and the district association Dingolfing as well as mayor of Dingolfing. He was district administrator for the district of Dingolfing for a few months after he was appointed by the American military government on May 2, 1945 . In 1946 he was a founding member of the Bavarian Volksbund Dingolfing. In the same year he was a member of the state constituent assembly. On December 12, 1948, he replaced the late Johann Anetseder in the state parliament, to which he was a member until the end of the 1950 electoral term. In 1949 Maier was a member of the first federal assembly as a delegate of the Bavarian state parliament .
