Anton Pohlmann (priest)

Anton Pohlmann (born May 6, 1829 in Retsch ; † October 31, 1891 in Heilsberg ) was a theologian and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Pohlmann attended high schools in Rössel and Braunsberg and the Lyceum in Braunsberg. He studied theology at the University of Breslau , where he received his doctorate in 1862 . He was then on leave for a year to go on scientific trips to Italy and in 1869 became professor at the Royal Lyceum Hosianum in Braunsberg and archpriest in Heilsberg. From 1867 to 1870 he was a member of the North German Reichstag , where he initially belonged to the Free Conservative Association . In this capacity he was also a member of the Customs Parliament from 1868 to 1870 . Between 1874 and 1881 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Reichstag constituency, administrative region Königsberg 6 (Braunsberg-Heilsberg) and the center .
