Friedrich Preuß (born November 14, 1850 in Oliva-Glettkau , † February 3, 1914 in Berlin ) was a teacher and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Preuss attended the grammar school in Neustadt and the University of Königsberg . He studied history and ancient languages, passed the state examination and received his doctorate in 1874. After that he was first a high school teacher in Rößel and Kulm , then director of the Progymnasium in Neumark from 1886 to 1896, director of the Gymnasium in Kulm until 1900 and from 1901 director of the Gymnasium in Braunsberg . In Neumark he was also head of the city council and in Kulm and Braunsberg city council. He was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, IV class .

From 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Reichstag electoral district of Königsberg 6 (Braunsberg-Heilsberg) and the German Center Party .
