Anton Rudinski

Anton Rudinski , also Antun or Anton Rudinsky (born October 1, 1937 in Subotica ; † October 7, 2017 in Villingen-Schwenningen ) was a Yugoslav football player and coach .

As a player

In his youth he played with NK Bačka in Subotica in 1901 and then began his career in 1952 with FK Spartak Zlatibor Voda , also from Subotica. He then played for FK Red Star Belgrade from 1953 to 1962 , after which he went to local rivals FK Partizan Belgrade for a year . He spent the 1963/64 season at NK Olimpija Ljubljana , the following at FC Winterthur . After stints at FC Metz and SC Viktoria Köln , he ended his playing career at FC Monthey (from Monthey ) and completed seven international matches for theYugoslav national football team .

As a trainer

His coaching career began at FC 08 Villingen in the Württemberg Football Association in 1972, where he stayed for two seasons. From 1975 to October 8, 1977 he coached SV Waldhof Mannheim (then Chio Waldhof) in the second Bundesliga South and reached eighth and eleventh place in the table. Then he had to leave the club early after four wins, four draws and five defeats at the beginning of his third coaching season at SVW. For the second half of the 1977/78 season, he took over from Lutz Hangartner as a coach at Offenburg FV , which he led in 1978 to the newly founded third-class football league Baden-Württemberg , where he reached fifth place in 1979.

From July 1, 1979 to March 9, 1980 he headed the team of Freiburg FC , then FC Lugano ( National League B , 10th place) and ( National League B , 7th place) and then that of the Freiburg local rivals SC Freiburg from 1984 (eighth place) until January 1, 1986 and that of VfL Osnabrück ( season 1987/88 , eighth place), both in the second Bundesliga. Also in the second division, he looked after SpVgg Bayreuth in the first half of the 1989/90 season . From 2002 to the end of 2004 he ended his career at 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 as an assistant coach and was again briefly active in 2005 as a coach for FC Konstanz in the Südbaden Football Association .

For the 2010/11 season he coached Fatihspor Spaichingen at the age of 73 in the Württemberg Black Forest district soccer league, but had to quit after a few months.
