Anton von Blankensee also Blanckensee († 1740 in Berlin ), was a Prussian colonel and head of the regiment .

Life

He was a member of the Neumark noble family Blanckensee and served in the Brandenburg military. On November 17, 1694 he was promoted to lieutenant colonel , where he was also assigned to the Driesen garrison . Finally, on October 7, 1704, he was promoted to colonel in the Küstrin garrison .

In 1729 he became the first chief of the newly established Berlin Land Regiment . He stayed in this position until 1740.

König points out that Anton von Blankensee was owned by the colonel of the same name named by Karl Friedrich Pauli - he was the heir to Steinberg and Nantikow , married to a daughter of the Swedish general Joachim von Volkmar and father of Busso Christian von Blanckensee (1695–1765) - is presumably distinguishable for chronological reasons.
