Anton von Brudermann

Anton Ritter von Brudermann (born December 21, 1847 in Öskü , Hungary , † December 23, 1881 in Tarnów , Galicia ) was an Austro-Hungarian officer , most recently in the rank of captain .

Anton von Brudermann, eldest of three sons of Rudolf von Brudermann and Giselas von Barbaczy , began his military training in the cadet institute of Hainburg , after which he entered the Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt in 1863 . After successfully graduating from the military academy in 1866, he was assigned to the 11th Uhlan Regiment as a lieutenant and was immediately able to prove himself in the war against Prussia . After successfully completing the courses at the war school, he was promoted to first lieutenant on May 1, 1871 , and was then assigned to the General Staff, where he was promoted to Rittmeister on May 1, 1873 . On May 1, 1876, he was finally assigned to the General Staff with the rank of captain, 1st class. After being assigned to various areas of responsibility in the General Staff (finally in the mapping department), he was transferred to the 1st Uhlan Regiment on May 1, 1881 . While performing his duties with this regiment in Tarnów, Anton von Brudermann suddenly died after a brief but severe illness on December 23, 1881 at the age of only 34.
