Dalberg and St. Maria in the Capitol in Cologne

St. Maria in the Capitol in Cologne (around 1865)

With her entry into the noble women's monastery of St. Maria in the Capitol in Cologne, Anna Margareta established a tradition that several women from the von Dalberg family followed until the end of the Old Kingdom . The women's monastery in Cologne is the northernmost institution with which the von Dalberg family was connected in this way. In this regard, the focus of the family was more in the northern Upper Rhine area . Other canonesses in St. Maria im Kapitol in Cologne from the von Dalberg family were:

  • Anna Sophia Maria Franziska von Dalberg (* October 20, 1675 in Mainz ; † December 17, 1762), daughter of Friedrich Dietrich von Dalberg (* around 1637; † July 7, 1712) and Maria Klara von Schönborn .
  • Maria Anna Josepha Franziska Sophia von Dalberg (born September 18, 1731 in Hammelburg ; † January 28, 1798 in Mannheim ), daughter of Hugo Philipp Eckbert von Dalberg-Wallhausen (born March 31, 1702; † February 29, 1754), and Maria Anna Josepha Sophia Zobel von Giebelstadt (* August 20, 1713; † June 8, 1774).
  • Antonetta Franziska Maria von Dalberg (* July 11, 1757; † after July 27, 1812 in Aschaffenburg ) was a daughter of Franz Heinrich von Dalberg and Maria Sophie Anna, daughter of Karl Anton Ernst von Eltz-Kempenich , called Faust von Stromberg. She was thus a sister of the Prince-Primate Karl Theodor von Dalberg (1744–1817), Elector and Archbishop of Mainz.
