Life

Antoni Abraham was born on July 19, 1869 as the son of a worker from Mechowa (Mechau). He attended a Prussian school. In Putzig (Puck) he worked as a fisherman's helper and began to get involved socially and nationally early on by agitating in villages. As a result, he has been charged and arrested several times. Nonetheless, as the caretaker of the Związku Spółek Zarobkowych bank in Gdansk, he continued to pursue his activism, especially when the German Reich was defeated in the First World War .

During the Paris Peace Conference in 1919 , Antoni Abraham and some companions first went to Warsaw to promote his ideas. However, he did not find enough support there, so he went to Paris . There he met Woodrow Wilson and David Lloyd George and campaigned for the connection of Vistula Pomerania to Poland.

After returning from Paris, he first had to hide in Kashubia and then returned to Gdansk. There he continued to pursue national activities. Eventually he moved to Gdynia , where he lived until his death on June 23, 1923. He was solemnly buried in the Oxhöft cemetery (since 1926 in Gdynia).
