Antonia Schreiber

Antonia Schreiber (* 1984 in Munich ) is a German harpist .

education

She received her first harp lessons at the age of 11. Until her artistic diploma, which she passed with distinction in 2007, she studied with Helga Storck at the Munich University of Music . Until 2010 she continued her studies with Charlotte Balzereit in Vienna. Master classes with Germaine Lorenzini, Isabelle Moretti, Isabelle Perrin and Sarah O'Brien complete her training.

Activity and honors

She has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the MDR Symphony Orchestra Leipzig and the State Orchestra Braunschweig . From 2008 to 2011 Schreiber played at the Vienna State Opera and with the Vienna Philharmonic . She also gained orchestral experience as a scholarship holder of the Orchestra Academy of the Munich Philharmonic and as a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra .

In addition to her work as a soloist, Schreiber devotes herself intensively to chamber music . Since 2009 she has been increasingly performing in a duo with Ingolf Turban . In 2010 she was a founding member of the Auros Trio, whose mentors are François Leleux and Cristina Bianchi. The trio has performed in numerous successful concerts, for example in the Polling library .

Antonia Schreiber is also committed to contemporary music. For example, she took part in world premieres of works by the composers Sir Harrison Birtwistle and Wolfram Buchenberg .

Since 2011 she has been giving master classes at the Bratislava Music Conservatory in Slovakia.

Antonia Schreiber has won numerous international competitions and was supported by foundations such as the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the Villa Musica Mainz. The acquisition of her concert instrument was funded by the PE-Förderkreis in Mannheim .
