Antonio Drapier
Antonio Drapier OP (born April 28, 1891 in Creuë-en-Woëvre , † July 30, 1967 ) was Roman Catholic Archbishop and Apostolic Delegate for Indochina .
Life
Drapier entered the Dominican order , and received on 24 April 1924 by the Bishop of Amiens , Charles Albert Joseph Lecomte , the ordination . On October 7, 1929, he was appointed titular archbishop of Neocaesarea in Ponto . He was ordained bishop on December 22, 1929 by the Chaldean bishop of Amadiyah , François David (Daoud) ; Co - consecrators were the Syrian Catholic Archbishop of Mosul , Athanase Cyrille Georges Dallal , and the Armenian Catholic Archbishop of Mardin Jacques Nessimian . Drapier served on a diplomatic mission as an apostolic delegate for Iraq from 1929 and for Indochina from 1936 to 1950 .
