Antonin [ anˈtɔɲin ] ( German Antonin , 1939–1943 Antonshof ) is a place with 484 inhabitants (2003) in the municipality of Przygodzice , Ostrowski district in the Greater Poland Voivodeship .
Founded by Prince Anton Radziwiłł around 1815, the Antonin, named after him, was owned by his descendants until 1945.
Attractions
Hunting lodge
Radziwiłłs' hunting lodge, built by Karl Friedrich Schinkel between 1822 and 1824 , very original, octagonal central building with a huge, three-story tiled stove in the middle. The castle contains a Chopin memorial room (Chopin stayed here in 1829) and is managed by the Regional Museum in Kalisz .
mausoleum
Radziwiłł mausoleum, built in the neo-Romanesque style from 1835 to 1838 according to plans by Johann Heinrich Haeberlin , extended in 1894, it contains a. a. the grave of Princess Elisa Radziwiłł and her bust.
