Antonio Jasevoli

Antonio Jasevoli (also: Iasevoli , * 1963 in Naples ) is an Italian jazz guitarist.

Live and act

Jasevoli initially played guitar in various rock and pop groups. In 1989 he obtained a diploma in classical guitar from the Conservatorio Statale di Benevento . He also attended summer courses at Berklee and learned from John Scofield , Jim Hall , Joe Diorio , Mike Goodrick and Mike Stern .

In the 1980s he worked in Naples with musicians such as Antonio Golino , Antonio Balsamo , James Senese and Tullio De Piposco . In the early 1990s he became a member of Tony Scott's band in Rome. He also worked with Paolo Damiani from 1991 to 1998 and with the band Avanzi from 1992–93 (with Danilo Rea , Roberto Gatto , Marizio dei Lazzaretti , Maurizio Gaiammarco and Pietro Tonolo ).

Since the late 1990s he has also participated in various theater projects and musical performances. In 1996 he was solo guitarist of the La Tempesta orchestra in the performance of Balletto di Toscana under the choreographer Fabrizio Monteverde to music by Massimo Nunzi .

In 2007 he recorded the album Tie with his Antonio Jasevoli Tie Trio . In 2007 he was also the solo guitarist of the Parco della Musica Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Maria Schneider . He teaches guitar at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome.
