Antony Golec (born May 29, 1990 in Sydney ) is an Australian football player .

Career

In 2008, Golec signed a contract for the youth team of Sydney FC, which was part of the newly formed National Youth League . At the end of October he moved to the professional squad of Sydney FC due to several failures and was in the starting line-up for his A-League debut in the surprising 2-0 away win over eventual champions Melbourne Victory . In the following weeks he came to five more appearances for the professional team, with the youth team he won the premiere season of the youth league after a 2-0 final win against Adelaide United .

In July 2009, Golec was nominated by U-20 national coach Jan Versleijen for an international trip to America with four other young players from Sydney ( Matthew Jurman , Kofi Danning , Chris Payne , Sam Munro ) .
