Anya Verkhovskaya , also Anya Verkhovskaya-Cohen (born around 1969 in Moscow ) is a Russian consultant , manager , film producer and human rights activist .

Life

Verhovskaya was already involved in politics as a teenager . Finally, at the age of 19, the dissident and critic of the communist system had to flee the Soviet Union . Between 1994 and 2001 she worked with film producer Steven Spielberg and directed his work in Eastern Europe and Central Asia as part of the "Shoah Foundation" as an expert in public relations.
