Apartment (band)

Apartment is a four-piece alternative rock band from London . The band formed in 2005 and is currently signed to Filthy Lucre and Fleet Street Records . Apartment toured with The Bravery , Delays , Editors , Jimmy Eat World and British Sea Power among others ; they toured France together with The Kooks . The band's debut album, The Dreamer Evasive , was released in 2007. The second album, Rarities , was released on January 18, 2013 on the internet.

history

The band formed in 2005 in Bethnal Green , London Borough of Tower Hamlets , and consists of singer David Caggiari, guitarist Davide DeSantis, bassist Tom Gillet and drummer Liam Fletcher. After the first singles Everyone Says I'm Paranoid and Patience Is Proving under Fierce Panda , the band worked on their debut album The Dreamer Evasive under the new label Fleet Street Records. The album received some reviews after its release . It was “brilliant” according to the New Musical Express and made it to Newsweek's “The Year's best music 2007”. The single Everyone Says I'm Paranoid / June July was in 2005 in the UK singles charts at number 67.

The single Fall into Place is arguably the album's most successful, even though it was not placed in the charts . The song is part of the soundtrack of the computer game FIFA 08 and the television series Chuck and was named one of the "Songs of the year 2007" by the Times .

The single My Brother Chris is dedicated to the singer of the befriended London band Boy Kill Boy , Chris Peck.
