Apolline de Malherbe (born June 2, 1980 in Paris , 16th arrondissement ) is a French radio and television journalist . She worked for the news channel BFM TV from 2007 to 2012 and again since 2013 .

De Malherbe comes from the Malherbe noble family . She is the daughter of the painter Guy de Malherbe and the gallery owner Marie-Hélène de La Forest Divonne and the great-granddaughter of the Righteous Among the Nations Maria-Dolorès de Malherbe . She was married to the diplomat Alexis Morel and has two sons and a daughter. Since 2017 she has been living in a registered partnership with Harold Hauzy, Manuel Valls' former communications consultant .

Live and act

After studying literature, Malherb obtained a Masters in Political Sociology in Sciences Po in 2005 and a Masters in Administrative Service in the same year . She was involved in politics and supported the candidacy of Jean-Pierre Chevènement in the 2002 presidential election . During this campaign she was a member of the “Pôle républicain”, a working group headed by the writer Max Gallo that brought together several personalities of all stripes who supported Chevènement, such as Karim Zéribi , Paul-Marie Coûteaux and Bertrand Renouvin from the Nouvelle Action royaliste .

During her studies, Malherbe completed several internships at Ouest-France in Le Mans , at Le Figaro and at the LCI television station , where she worked with Christophe Barbier.

Malherbe thus joined the team at LCI that prepared Christophe Barbier's political interviews. In 2007, her essay Politiques cherchent Audimat, désespérément was published by Albin Michel publishing house and was awarded the “Prix du livre politique Edgar-Faure”. At that time Malherbe was working for the group NextRadioTV and became a producer at BFM Radio. In the same year she joined BFM TV as editor-in-chief alongside Ruth Elkrief , Olivier Mazerolle and Hedwige Chevrillon. From 2008 to 2011, she was a correspondent for BFM TV in Washington, DC and best known for covering the Dominique Strauss-Kahn case for BFM TV and several English-language media outlets including CNN , NBC and NBC. In 2012 she returned to France and worked for Canal + for a year . In 2013 she returned to BFM TV as an interviewer and political editorial writer. She especially moderated the program “BFM Politique” and became the deputy presenter of Jean-Jacques Bourdin's program “Bourdin Direct”. At the same time, she taught political journalism at Sciences Po . After the summer of 2017, she also presented the political program “Et en même temps” on BFM TV every Sunday. From autumn 2018 to January 2019 she was replaced by Thierry Arnaud on “BFM Politique” and Bruce Toussaint on “Et en même temps” during her maternity leave.

In 2015, Malherbe was the patron of the 6th delegation of the descendants of the Righteous Among the Nations , organized by the France-Israël association.
