The Apostolic Exarchate Latin America and Mexico ( Latin : Apostolicus Exarchatus Americae Latinae una cum Mexico ) is an Apostolic Exarchate of the Armenian Catholic Church, which is responsible for Latin America and is based in Buenos Aires , Argentina .

history

The Apostolic Exarchate Latin America and Mexico was established on July 3, 1981 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Armeniorum fidelium . The first Apostolic Exarch was Vartán Waldir Boghossian SDB . On February 18, 1989 Argentina was outsourced from the exarchate as an independent eparchy of San Gregorio de Narek en Buenos Aires .
