The Czech Apostolic Exarchate ( Latin Exarchatus Apostolicus Reipublicae Cechae ) is a Greek Catholic exarchate in the Czech Republic with a Byzantine rite, unified with the Roman Catholic Church . The official seat is in Prague .
Greek Catholic Diaspora
Around 7,600 Greek Catholics live in the Czech Republic in a diaspora situation. In addition, several thousand migrant workers from Slovakia and Ukraine have to be looked after. Pope John Paul II founded it on March 15, 1996 from cession of territory to the Prešov eparchy .
