The Apostolic Vicariate Casanare ( Latin : Apostolicus Vicariatus Casanarensis ) was a Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate located in Colombia . It was assigned to the Yopal diocese in 1999 .
history
The Apostolic Vicariate Casanare was on July 17, 1893 by Pope Leo XIII. Erected from territory ceded by the then Archdiocese of Tunja . The diocese of Arauca (1915) and the Apostolic Vicariate of Trinidad (1999) were founded from the assignments of territory by the vicariate .
On October 29, 1999, Pope John Paul II incorporated the vicariate into the diocese of Yopal.
