The Roman Catholic Diocese of Yopal ( lat. : Dioecesis Yopalensis , span. : Diócesis de Yopal ) is an in Colombia situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Yopal .
history
The diocese of Yopal was established on October 29, 1999 by Pope John Paul II from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Casanare and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Tunja as a suffragan diocese. For the first bishop was Misael Vacca Ramírez appointed only in April 2,001th He remained in office until April 2015.
