Misael Vacca Ramírez

Misael Vacca Ramírez (born November 5, 1955 in Somondoco , Departamento de Boyacá , Colombia ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of Duitama-Sogamoso .

Life

Misael Vacca Ramírez received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Tunja on December 3, 1983 .

On June 22, 2001, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Yopal . The Apostolic Nuncio in Colombia, Archbishop Beniamino Stella , donated him episcopal ordination on August 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Tunja, Luis Augusto Castro Quiroga IMC , and the Bishop of Garagoa , José Vicente Huertas Vargas .

On April 18, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Duitama-Sogamoso. The inauguration took place on June 6th of the same year.

From August 15, 2015 to October 1, 2016, he was also Apostolic Administrator of Málaga-Soatá for the duration of the Sedis vacancy .
