The Diocese of Duitama-Sogamoso ( lat. : Dioecesis Duitamensis-Sogamosensis , span. : Diócesis de Duitama-Sogamoso ) is in Colombia situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Duitama .

history

The diocese Duitama-Sogamoso was on March 7, 1955 by Pope Pius XII. Established from territorial cession of the Diocese of Tunja as the Diocese of Duitama and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Bogotá as a suffragan . The diocese of Duitama was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Tunja as a suffragan on June 20, 1964. On June 4, 1994, the diocese of Duitama was renamed the Diocese of Duitama-Sogamoso .
