The Aqsu ( Kazakh Ақсу ; Russian Белая Belaja - "White River") is a right tributary of the Buchtarma in East Kazakhstan in the central Altai .
The Aqsu rises on the southern slope of the Qysylqaraghai (Russian Listwjaga ). In the upper and middle reaches it flows mainly in a westerly direction through the mountains. In the lower reaches it turns to the southwest and flows through the settlement of the same name Aqsu (until 2009 Белое Beloje ). Then it flows another 15 km to its confluence with the Buchtarma. The Aqsu has a length of 71 km. It drains an area of 1130 km². The mean discharge is 16.77 m³ / s. The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge in the months with the highest discharge, May and June, is 42.68 m³ / s and 42.68 m³ / s, respectively.
