The working group “Historic Village Centers in the State of Brandenburg was founded on September 27, 2005 under the patronage of the Minister for Science, Research and Culture and the Minister for Rural Development, Environment and Consumer Protection in Neuseddin .

The aim of the working group is to preserve the preserved, historically grown village structures and the architectural heritage and to make them fit for the future through appropriate use. The exchange of experiences between the villages, local parts and parts of the municipality should help to support traditional handicrafts and trades and to improve the conditions for agriculture. To this end, partners from various areas of public life are to be won over.
