Kluterthöhle working group
The working group Kluterthöhle (AKKH) is a non- cavers -Verein based in Ennepetal . The association, which has around 60 members, is very active in environmental and cave protection in addition to scientific research . The chairman is Stefan Voigt .
history
The Kluterthöhle working group was founded on March 30th, 1976 as part of the Ennepetal Tourist Association. The working group was later transformed into its own association. The association began intensively looking for new caves in Ennepetal in 1980 and discovered over seven kilometers of new caves under Ennepetal in the following 30 years.
Since 1984 the association has also been active with expeditions outside of North Rhine-Westphalia and researches in the Alps , Syria , Romania , Cambodia , France , Lebanon and Oman .
Since 1991 the association has been commissioned by the city of Ennepetal to research caves and karst in the city area. Contracts with other cities in the region for individual caves or entire areas have since followed. In the following years, the cities of Wuppertal and Engelskirchen , the Rhein-Sieg district , the Oberbergischer district , the city of Schwelm and the city of Hagen added.
Supervised caves
The association looks after over 200 caves in the Bergisches Land and in the west of the Sauerland . These include the Kluterthöhle , Wiehler stalactite and Aggertalhöhle show caves , but also caves that are not open to the public such as the Heilenbecker Höhle , Bismarckhöhle , Blätterhöhle , the Hardthöhlen and the Windloch in Mühlenberg .
