Arenzhain is a district of the town of Doberlug-Kirchhain in the Elbe-Elster district in southern Brandenburg .

The Arenzhain district is located about 4 km northwest of Doberlug-Kirchhain on the L 70 in the direction of the city of Dahme .

history

The first mention of the village goes back to July 25, 1298 in a document from Otto IV. Von Ileburg as Arnoldishain . It means something like "Arnold clearing settlement".

Incorporation

Arenzhain was incorporated into Doberlug-Kirchhain on October 26, 2003.
