Argentina Brunetti

Argentina Brunetti (born August 31, 1907 in Buenos Aires , Argentina , † December 20, 2005 in Rome , Italy ) was an Argentine actress .

Life

Brunetti began her career at the age of three when she had a role in the opera Cavalleria Rusticana . She then performed on stages in Europe and South America , following in the footsteps of her famous mother. In 1937 she was signed by MGM and dubbed the voices of Jeanette MacDonald and Norma Shearer for the Italian market . She then worked as a reporter for the Voice of America radio stationand interviewed American film stars for Italian programs. At the same time she made her film debut in the 1946 role of Mrs. Martini in the classic Isn't Life Beautiful? .

Throughout her diverse career, she wrote a lot and appeared on daily radio shows . She became a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and wrote numerous reports on Hollywood greats , described books and music, and appeared in more than 57 television programs and 68 films, in which she played mostly multi-ethnic roles. She had a weekly weblog on the Internet called Argentina Brunetti's Hollywood Stories that her son wants to continue. He also wrote a biography about his mother entitled In Sicilian Company .

Argentina Brunetti was buried in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City .
