Life

In his youth, Grande got involved in the youth organization Arbeidernes Ungdomsfylking (AUF). Grande did not succeed in the 2005 general election to move directly into the Norwegian national parliament in Storting . Instead, he became a so-called Vararepresentant , i.e. a substitute representative, for the constituency of Nord-Trøndelag. He represented the entire legislative period through his party colleague Bjarne Håkon Hanssen , who as minister had to suspend his mandate. Grande became a member of the Local and Administrative Committee. In the 2009 election , he finally moved directly into parliament for the first time and he became part of the Family and Culture Committee, where he stayed after the 2013 Storting election . After the 2017 election , he moved to the Labor and Social Committee. From October 2009 to September 2013 he was a member of the parliamentary committee of the Arbeiderpartiet group.

Together with the ap politician Lene Vågslid , he has a daughter. In 2018, the two admitted that they had used bonus points from business trips contrary to the parliamentary directive for private travel. In June 2020 he declared that he did not want to run for a seat in the Storting again in the 2021 parliamentary election .
