Arizona (proper spelling: ARIZONA ) are a US Indietronic - band from Boston .
Band history
The three band members, singer Zach Hannah, guitarist Nate Esquite and keyboardist David Labuguen, are originally from New Jersey and all three attended Emerson College and the Berklee College of Music in Boston . Hannah and Esquite spent some time in Europe in 2014 and were inspired by music there. In Boston they founded the band Arizona with Labuguen and started distributing songs via YouTube and SoundCloud . At the end of 2015 they already had a record deal with Atlantic Records .
One of her first singles was I Was Wrong . At first it didn't get much attention and the debut album planned for summer 2016 was postponed for the time being. Only a remix by Robin Schulz brought the breakthrough. The remix had 5.5 million views, the original 4 million on YouTube, and the song was streamed almost 16 million times on Spotify . I Was Wrong hit the dance and rock charts in the USA and Germany and Austria in Europe , but also the official charts in Sweden and France. At the beginning of 2017 they landed another chart success with Oceans Away . Her debut album Gallery was released on May 19, 2017 , whereupon it achieved a position in the US album charts.
In collaboration with the Swedish producer Avicii , the song Hold the Line was created , which should be part of his Avīcii -EP series. After his sudden death in April 2018, they finished the song together with his childhood friend Lucas von Bahder for the posthumous studio album Tim .
