Arnaud Méthivier
Arnaud Méthivier , often also Nano (born April 6, 1971 in Orléans ) is a French accordionist , singer, and composer who moves between jazz , new improvisation music and world music .
Live and act
Méthivier learned to play the accordion from his father at the age of seven. At the age of ten he already appeared with the group La Châtaigne and played musette . He won various competitions and in 1987 became a member of the ensemble Les petits prodiges de l'accordéon , directed by Maurice Larcange . With this group he appeared in shows and on television and put on several albums.
He met the singer Marcel Kanche , with whom a collaboration began. He also accompanied Kent and Stephan Eicher . In 1998 he presented his first solo album, Chansons, and gave numerous solo concerts. From 1990 he occasionally appeared with Otto Lechner , with whom he also recorded two albums and appeared at various festivals. He toured under the name Nano and Friends with Catherine Estourelle, Kent, Hervé Rigaud and Djamel Laroussi .
Since 1995 he has been writing theater and ballet music. As a studio musician , he has also worked for Boy George , Georges Moustaki , Francis Cabrel , Suzanne Vega , Enzo Enzo , Idir , Maxime Le Forestier , the Fabulous Trobadors , and Matthieu Chedid .
