Tom Radisch

Tom Radisch (* 1982 in Großröhrsdorf ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Tom Radisch is the second oldest son of the actor Andreas Schmidt-Schaller and the half-brother of the actors Petra (* 1980) and Matti Schmidt-Schaller (* 1996). He attended from 2006 to 2007, the Academy of Music and Theater in Rostock . From August 2007 to November 2010 he studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

During his studies he had his first theater engagements, for example at the Deutsches Theater Berlin as Laertes in Hamlet (2009; director: Andreas Kriegenburg ), at the Schaubühne Berlin in Berlin Alexanderplatz (2010; director: Volker Lösch ) and in 2010 as Karl Schmidt am bat- Studio theater in The Little Brother (directed by Leander Haußmann and Sven Regener ). For this role he was awarded the “Ensemble Prize” at the 2010 Theater Meeting of the Drama Schools in Leipzig .

Since 2011 he has appeared at the Residenztheater in Munich ; he was a permanent member of the ensemble there for four years. There he played u. a. Gabriel in Das Ende des Regens by Andrew Bovell (2011; directed by Radu Afrim ), Hortensio in The Taming of the Shrew (2012; directed by Tina Lanik ), Klepperbein / Reporter Dieter in Pünktchen and Anton (2012; directed by Thomas Birkmeir), Rainey in The Ballade from the Sad Café (2013; Director: Walter Meierjohann), Dobtschinskij in Der Revisor (2013; Director: Herbert Fritsch ), Bruno Mechelke in Die Ratten (2013; Director: Yannis Houvardas), Guglielmo in Trilogy der Sommerfrische after Carlo Goldoni (2013; Director: Herbert Fritsch), Er in Die Befristeten by Elias Canetti (2014; Director: Nico Hümpel) and Spießl in Die Jagd nach Liebe (2014; Director: Barbara Weber ).

In July / August 2015 he appeared at the Nibelungen Festival in Worms as Volker von Alzey in the world premiere of Albert Ostermaier's play Gemetzel .

Radisch also played in various cinema and television productions, including a. in the television film Doppelganger (2012; with Jutta Speidel in the leading role) and in the cinema film Exit Marrakech (director: Caroline Link ). He also had episode roles in the series SOKO 5113 (as Michael Seidlinger; son and brother of the "Stubnmusi" family Seidlinger), Der Alte (2012; as Dr. Thomas Schwarz) and Die Rosenheim-Cops (2013; as "Agency" - Employee Herbert Pichler). In November 2015, Radisch was seen again in SOKO 5113 in an episode role, this time as a car mechanic and workshop owner Konni Hartinger. In February 2016 followed an episode role as husband Christoph Kummer in the ARD series Um Himmels Willen . In the ZDF crime series Kommissarin Lucas (first broadcast: February 2016), Radisch played the parish priest Jörg, who, together with a group of activists, campaigns for the church asylum of refugees. In the ZDF television series Inga Lindström (first broadcast: May 2016) he was the fiancé of the main female character Britta who died on a boat trip. In the 16th season of the ZDF crime series SOKO Leipzig (November 2016), Radisch again took on a series role as tenant Markus Reimann, who is resisting being forced to rent.

From 2016 (6th season) to 2020 (9th season) he was part of the television series Familie Dr. Kleist in the role of radiologist Dr. Timotheus von Hatzfeld among the main characters. This was followed by episode appearances in the ZDF crime series SOKO Stuttgart (October 2017, as a suspect who had a heated argument with the murder victim) and alongside Floriane Daniel in A Case for Two (October 2017, as a criminal foreman Stefan Keller). In the opening episode of the 11th season of the ZDF hit series Der Bergdoktor (first broadcast: January 2018), Radisch was seen in a leading role as Christian Maiwald, who puts his wife under massive psychological pressure with his rapid desire to have children. In the TV crime drama So Far das Meer (first broadcast: April 2019), with Uwe Kockisch in the lead role, Radisch played one of the supporting roles as Peer Harms, the less than self-confident son-in-law of an aging captain, who is ultimately convicted as a former rapist by his father-in-law .

Radisch also works as a voice actor. He worked u. a. in the German dubbed versions of the films The Raven - Prophet des Teufels (2010), Mitternachtskinder von Deepa Mehta (2011; role: Laurel), Underground: Die Julian Assange Story (2012), Still Alice - Mein Leben ohne Gestern (2014; for Shane McRae as Charlie Howland-Jones) and in the television series Luck (2012) and Game of Thrones (2012; role: Polliver).

Tom Radisch lives in Berlin .
