Matti Schmidt-Schaller (* 1996 in Gera ) is a German actor .

Life

Matti Schmidt-Schaller is the youngest son of the actor Andreas Schmidt-Schaller ; his mother is the director Swentja Krumscheidt. The actors Petra Schmidt-Schaller and Tom Radisch are his half-siblings. He spent the first five years of his life in his native Gera. He went to school in Berlin .

In 2012 he played the boy in Waiting for Godot in a production by his mother, the theater director Swentja Krumscheidt, at the summer theater festival “Klassik am Meer” in the Baltic resort of Koserow on the island of Usedom . Since then he has also taken on film and television roles. He is supported by private acting coaching.

After playing once in the ZDF crime series SOKO Leipzig as a child in 2008 , he received his first major film role in the ZDF television film No Escape (2014). At the side of his film parents Anja Kling and Benno Fürmann , he played Jan Bartels, the 15-year-old son of the Bartels couple. In Rainer Kaufmann's television film Ich will dich (2014), this time with Ina Weisse and Ulrich Noethen as parents, he played the adolescent, pubescent teenager Jonas, who is caught smoking weed and brought home by the police. In the television film ... and then came Wanda (2014) he was Vincent, the son of the single-parent building contractor Karlheinz Kluss ( Hannes Jaenicke ).

In the TV film Die Disobedience (2015) he played the 14-year-old Jonas Keller, who tries to protect his mother ( Felicitas Woll ) from his stepfather's domestic violence.

In October 2015 he was seen in the ARD television series In all friendship - The young doctors in a leading role in the episode; he played the young ice hockey player Fabian Maurer. Schmidt-Schaller played the 16-year-old Ben, the son of the gambling addict Adam ( Hanno Koffler ), who unexpectedly enters his father's life in the movie Stair Upward (2015), which premiered in October 2015 at the Hofer Filmtage . In October / November 2015 Schmidt-Schaller shot, together with Suzanne von Borsody , in Florida and Puerto Rico for the ZDF the television film Ein Sommer in Florida in the ZDF “Herzkino” series.

In February 2016 Schmidt-Schaller was seen in an episode role in the ZDF crime series SOKO Wismar ; he played the 16-year-old son of the car workshop owner Thorsten Adler ( Matthias Komm ) , who was interested in art and music . In 2016 he also starred in the television series The Teacher (with Hendrik Duryn in the title role), in which he played the student Ole. In 2017 he played Dimitri in the 2nd season of the series Arman's Secret . In the Bella Block crime thriller Stille Wasser (first broadcast: October 2017) he played Henrik Johannsen, the son of the local mayor ( Katja Weitzenböck ). In the ZDF television series SOKO Cologne (first broadcast: February 2018), Schmidt-Schaller, alongside Janna Striebeck , took on an episode role as decathlete Noah Richter, the older son of a photographer who, out of contempt and disgust, becomes the murderer of his own father. In February 2018 Schmidt-Schaller was also seen in the 4th season of the ZDF series Bettys Diagnose in a leading role in the episode; he plays Jonathan, a friend of a 15-year-old girl because of alcohol intoxication to the ICU is admitted. In April 2018, Schmitt-Schaller also appeared in a leading role in the ZDF series Last Trace Berlin ; he embodied Till Kröhmer, the friend of a 16-year-old model student who leads a double life on the weekends.

In the first film of the ZDF crime series Schwartz & Schwartz , entitled My First Mord (first broadcast: October 2018), Schmidt-Schaller played the young Linus Jasper, the son of a suspect, respected doctor who, under the influence of alcohol, gives insight into his broken family relationships. In the ARD television series Der Ranger (2018), which takes place in the Saxon Switzerland National Park , Matti Schmidt-Schaller played one of the episode roles as the aggressive leader of a group of young conservationists who want to prevent the construction of a climbing park .

Matti Schmidt-Schaller plays drums and guitar ; He lives in Berlin.
